Overview
The course will cover the basics of research on media and technology management and innovative information and communication technologies. It will prepare for writing short papers and a master thesis, discuss research approaches, read and review research papers. Groups will be formed during the first course meeting. Registration details are shown below.

MANDATORY Pre-Assignment
Summarize and discuss three different points raised in "Mumford, E. (2006) Researching People Problems: Some Advice to a Student, Information Systems Journal, 16(4), 383-389". We will send the essay to all successfully registered students' sMail accounts on March 27.
Use about 100 words to summarize / name a point of your choice and another 150 words to share your thoughts / concerns on exactly that point. Approximate assignment length is 750 words (3 x 250 words). Do not forget a cover sheet with your name, "Pruefungsnummer", postal address and sMail-account.
Send a non-protected word file(no pdf !) by eMail by April 8, 11:00 o'clock, FROM your sMail-account to claudia.loebbecke<AT>uni-koeln.de AND to stefan.cremer<AT>uni-koeln.de.

Participation on April 09 is mandatory, otherwise you cannot pass the course. Afterwards participation in all, but one 90-minute session (!) is required for receiving Credit Points!
